Original draft of Ralph T. Whitelaw's 1951 book "Virginia's Eastern Shore." The book is a two volume set about the historic houses of Accomack and Northampton Counties and discusses: when and where they were built, transfers in ownership, descriptions of their exterior and interior, and includes photos. As a draft, this version of the book includes several handwritten notes and edits made by Whitelaw during the writing process.
