Paper is about the form and function of log canoes on the Chesapeake Bay and how they have changed over time from the Colonial period to contemporary times. The paper includes a history of how English settlers learned how to make dugouts and log canoes from the Native Americans. Written and presented by Harry S. Holcomb III.
