Description |
S. C. Stratton writes Dr. John Ker asking him to settle with William Doughty and Solomon Wise "my tenants in Accomac Co, Va." Totals due were $242 for Mr. Doughty and $220 for Mr. Wise. Mr. Wise had a balance of $84.59 1/2. Also due was rent from Isaac Ames for $125 from 1838. Stratton also asks if Dr. Ker could look over the place at Ames Ridge to see if it would be wise to sell what timber which could be spared. Letter is from Newtown, CT and dated August 5, 1839. |
