Catherine Scott was born circa 1732 in Maryland. By 1776 she was married to James Scott and living in Accomack County, VA. James passed away in 1778 and likely managed his estate after his death which included land in Drummondtown. In 1793 she received land in Onancock from the will of her friend George Corbin, making Catherine a significant woman landholder in the county. She passed away in late 1805 or before the end of January 1806 and left her land and possessions to her nieces and nephews. |
