Part of the house dates back to 1795 when Selby Denton built it to secure his deed to the property, while other sections date back to 1776. When George G. Ailworth bought the property in 1894, the home became known as Ailworth House. In 1966, Reverend Bloodworth bought and restored the home, and the property became known locally as Bloodworth Cottage. 1645: Ailsworth, built circa 1795, with cottage that was later removed- Accomac, VA 1767: Ailsworth with porch in the snow circa 1947, on Daughtery Rd.- Accomac, VA 1778: Ailsworth without porch, owned by Marcus Bloodworth, on Daughtery Rd.- Accomac, VA |
