Portrait painted of Rosina Mix Cropper. Painted on a round porcelain disk. Rosina is wearing a black ribbon choker and a light blue dress. Gold colored square frame. Rosina was the granddaughter of Revolutionary General John Cropper. Attached on the back is a copy of Rosina's death announcement that reads: Miss Cropper and Mrs. John Cropper announce with deep sorrow the death of their beloved sister and sister-in-law Rosina Cropper youngest daug. of the late Captain Thomas Cropper of Virginia U.S. of America who died in Geneva, Switzerland, October 23rd 1921, assisted with all the rites of Religion Rome, November 26th 1921 Requiem Mass will be celebrated, with the body present, in the Church of San Gioacchino- [ai] Prati di Castello- at 10am of Monday, November 28h, 1921 |
